DOCTRINAL STATEMENT

The Bible – I believe that the Bible is inspired, preserved, inerrant, and infallible.  I believe it is the rule whereby we ought to live by, and that it contains all truth for all peoples.  It is my firm conviction, as well as the policy of my sending church and mission board that the King James Version should be used for the English speaking world. (2 Tim. 3:16-17; Matt. 5:18)

God – I believe in the Trinity, the unity of the Godhead, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.  I believe that they are all equal and work in harmony, because they are one. God is creator and sustainer of all things.  He is without sin.  He is omniscient, omnipotent, and sovereign.  (1 John 5:7, John1:1-2; 1 Cor. 8:6)

Sin – I believe man was created in God’s image, but by his choice fell into sin and death.  Therefore, we are all suffer the effects of that original sin.  We are all subject to condemnation and eternal judgment.  Because all mankind is sinful, he falls short of God’s glory and he cannot save himself. (Rom. 3:23; 5:12-19)

Salvation – Salvation is wholly by grace, through faith in Christ.  Christ is the only way for salvation.  He is the only one that can save.  I believe the blood of Christ is important and must have been shed for the salvation of our sins.  His death on the cross was substitutionary for us.  Salvation is for all men and is offered as a completed gift to all who will believe.   I believe that the whole world must know this great truth and redemption we find in Jesus Christ.  (Eph. 2:8-9;  Acts 4:12; 1 John 2:1-2; John 5:24, Matt. 28:28)

Eternal Security – I believe that those who receive Jesus Christ are eternal secure.  We can be assured that the true believer is a redeemed possession of God.  The security we find is founded upon the full payment for the believer’s sin through the cross of Christ. (John 10:27-30; Rom. 8:31-34)

The Church – I believe the visible church is congregation of Baptized believers who practice New Testament principles.  They are ruled by the Bible as the sole authority of faith and practice.  I believe that the local church must administer the two ordinances of Baptism by immersion, and the Lord ’s Supper.  I believe that Baptism must be done underwater, and only after salvation by faith in Christ.  Also, that the church has the two offices of the pastor and the deacon.  The head of the church is Christ. (Matt. 28:19-20;  Acts 2:41-47; Eph. 4:11-13; 1 Cor. 12)

Heaven & Hell – I believe that heaven and hell are real and literal places.  I believe that all men will be judged, but the judgment for the believers and unbelievers will distinct and separate.  All believers will be judged at the Judgment Seat of Christ, while all unbelievers will be judged at the Great White Throne Judgment.  All believers will spend eternity with God in heaven, whole all unbelievers shall suffer eternal separation from God, and eternal punishment in the Lake of Fire, forever.  (John 5:28, 29; 14:2; Rev. 20:14, 15; 21:4; Matt. 25:46)

Current Trends in Theology – I am opposed to the modern tongues movement, ecumenism, Christian Contemporary Music, neo-evangelicalism, and trends that undermine and attack the fundamentals of the faith and our precious Bible.
